Constantine the Great

His Story - TV Mini-Series and Mass-Market Book

Proprietary Research By Behr & Larson

The Greatest Story Never Told is the incredible life story about one of the most influential and consequential men in world history -- about whom most people know very little or nothing:

o   The Roman Emperor “Constantine” --  “Constantine the Great”

Constantine is the first Roman Emperor to adopt Christianity and replace the Roman Pantheon of Gods with the One True God of Christ -- after he had a Vision and saw an Omen in the Sky (the Chi-Rho Christogram -- "By this sign shalt thou conquer") -- before his battle at the Milvian Bridge in 312 AD (when Constantine and his Roman Soldiers wore the Signs of the Cross to VICTORY)!

The story of how Constantine, the First Christian Emperor, forever changed the Roman Empire (and world history)  by replacing his people’s belief in the Roman Pantheon of multiple, local, pagan Gods with a new and more credible belief in the One True God of Christ (and how Constantine was instrumental in establishing the Nicene Creed and the New Testament Bible used today by billions of Christians) -- is the Greatest Story Never Told  that deserves to be told to an eager audience that awaits.

The bigger-than-life, yet inspirational and factual behind-scenes historical revelations proprietary to our research may tap into the same mass-audience zeitgeist who made The DaVinci Code  and  The Passion of the Christ the international mega hits that they were – trading on today’s popular interest in Christian History and the Christ Mythos.

The life and times of Constantine are all the more interesting and relevant to today’s movie and TV audiences because almost everything that we have been taught about History and Christianity today – was directly influenced or decided almost 1,700 years ago by Emperor Constantine  and his mother (now Saint) Helena.  Holy Relics that they found and Churches they built back then are still being visited and venerated today.

In her 70’s when she went to the Holy Land in search of Holy Relics -- Helena acted like a Royal Archeologist/Detective who tore down Temples and buildings dedicated to Roman Gods on her quest to find the One True Cross in Jerusalem, which she did.  Helena’s excavations in the Holy Land also found the Holy Nails of Crucifixion (which she gave to her son Constantine as a talisman to protect him) and she founded,  helped design and built (under the supervision of Bishop Makarios of Jerusalem)  the two most famous Churches in all of Christendom:

·         Church of the Nativity over the cave in Bethlehem,  where Jesus was born, and
·         Church of the Holy Sepulcher on Golgotha, where Jesus was crucified

The Godfather-like  Machiavellian maneuvers of Church and State -- the rebellions, assassinations, back-stabbing and political intrigue that the First Christian Emperor Constantine had to manipulate and avoid, on so many different levels, in order to successfully implement his religious Vision (the mass conversion of millions of Roman slaves and freemen from believing in multiple Pagan gods to having faith with all one’s heart and soul in the One God of Christ) -- forms the basis for an exciting and an enlightening story that deserves to be told (which we will tell by Book and TV Mini-Series).

Besides all the big battle scenes and historical set-pieces of life in the 4th Century – including the building of the City of Constantinople as the “New Rome”  -- the scenes of intelligent and illuminating religious debate at the first ecumenical Council of Nicaea have the potential to be as dramatic as, and contain dramatic prose worthy of, previous crowd-pleasing Oscar-winning historical epics like:  Becket,  A Man For All Seasons and Lion In Winter.

Just as NBC’s Jesus of Nazareth, Showtime’s The Tudors and The Borgias and HBO’s Band of Brothers and Rome mini-series were worthy of epic TV treatment and high-profile  network  promotion  --  the  life  and  times  of  war  hero-turned-religious-zealot, Emperor  Constantine  (and  the  incredible  and  successful  relic-hunting  activities  of  is Mother, St. Helena, in the Holy Lands) --  are sure to attract a lot of high profile interest from  today’s  spiritually-hungry  TV  audiences  around  the  world.
